About The Position

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) Long Range Radars department is seeking a Contract Logistics Support (CLS) Instructor and Developer. This role is responsible for the training and guidance of the AN-TPY-2 system in support of maintainers globally. The position involves researching, developing, and revising maintenance training plans and courses, conducting formal classroom instruction, workshops, and seminars, and providing administrative support to the CLS Team. The goal is to facilitate innovative solutions that optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of Air & Space Defense Systems products and services throughout their lifecycle.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience in training instruction and training development in a military or civilian environment.
  • Experience with the AN/TPY-2 system and/or similar missile defense system.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Secret - Current security clearance status.
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to analyze technical documentation and training materials while working independently and collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills, with proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience writing to military specifications and familiarity with radar, sensor systems, or other advanced electronic systems, particularly within DoD programs.
  • Master Instructor or Master Training Specialist Certification, or equivalent training expertise, with a self-driven approach to ownership of training.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain operations and maintenance training technical content, including presentations and accompanying materials.
  • Assess engineering data for impacts to existing technical content.
  • Create and maintain technical manuals, including content addressing system functional theory, operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics, and illustrated parts breakdowns, utilizing compiled technical reports, drawings, and parts lists.
  • Research technical documentation, engineering personnel input, and other subject matter experts to design effective learning and documentation solutions.
  • Deliver instructor-led classroom training to stakeholders as required.
  • Conduct training sessions and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of training activities and materials.
  • Interface with the DoD customer and international partner to optimize products and solutions in support of achieving maximum Operational Readiness and compliance to contractual requirements as well as establishing open communications and building trust.
