About The Position

This contracted Licensed Mental Health Therapist provides clinical mental health services to FRTH employees and extends services into the community through outreach partnerships, including local schools and affiliated organizations. This role is designed to expand access to behavioral health services for underserved populations while supporting the well-being of FRTH staff. Working in collaboration with the Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Director, this individual will deliver direct clinical care, support clinical oversight functions, and contribute to the development of community-based mental health initiatives. This position emphasizes accessibility, prevention, and early intervention across both internal and external populations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited University with a Masters Degree
  • Current and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or License Marriage and Family Therapist
  • One (1) year experience as a practicing clinician.
  • If providing clinical supervision must have at least one (1) year of experience as a supervisor.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; coordinate activities among the clinical staff in the department and groups outside the organization.
  • Ability to plan, supervise and execute clinical policies and objectives.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Human relation skills to deal effectively with patients, clients, staff, Board members, community members and visitors in person and on the telephone.
  • Ability to work independently and productively.
  • Demonstrate awareness, sensitivity, and appreciation of Native American culture, traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs.
  • Exercise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all patient records.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  • Ability to arrive at work promptly and maintain regular attendance.

  • Experience and training in alcohol and substance abuse counseling preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical services including intake evaluations, case management, needs assessments, mental status exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning for FRTH employees and community members. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Deliver outreach-based services in community settings such as schools and partner organizations, increasing access to behavioral health care and promoting early intervention.
  • Ensure continuity of care by coordinating services with internal departments and external community partners involved in client care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities related to clinical care and documentation standards.
  • Adhere to all FRTH policies, procedures, and ethical standards, as well as applicable State Mental Health regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with agency standards for service delivery across both employee and community-based services.
  • Establish and meet measurable goals and objectives in collaboration with the BHS Director, with periodic review and adjustment based on program needs and outcomes.
  • Support and participate in community outreach initiatives, including the development and facilitation of mental health education and prevention programs.
  • Prepare reports outlining outreach efforts, service utilization, and clinical outcomes as requested.
  • Serve as a liaison between FRTH and community partners to strengthen relationships and expand service delivery opportunities.
  • Participate in case consultations, chart reviews, and clinical discussions as directed by the BHS Director.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain licensure and ensure high-quality care.
  • Utilize all required EHR functions and documentation systems in alignment with agency expectations.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and collaborative sessions as required to support both internal services and community partnerships.
  • Provide flexible support to meet the evolving needs of the department and outreach programs.
