About The Position

Turing invites Contract Law and Commercial Transactions experts to work on projects fine-tuning AI models. The role applies expertise in contract drafting, UCC transactions, breach of contract analysis, and commercial dispute resolution to evaluate how AI reasons about contractual obligations. No prior AI experience is required. The work involves reviewing AI-generated responses to U.S. contract law hypotheticals, applying a structured legal rubric, identifying gaps in AI reasoning, and providing detailed annotations and written feedback to improve AI models. The expert will collaborate with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals. The freelance engagement offers flexible work of 10–30 hours per week, is expected to last approximately one month, and may be extended based on performance and project needs. The work is fully remote.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
Active or inactive bar admission.
At least 3 years of U.S. legal practice in contract law, commercial transactions, or commercial litigation.
Strong reasoning skills across common law contracts, the UCC, and commercial agreements.
Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
High ethical standards.

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate AI-generated responses to U.S. contract law hypotheticals, including formation issues, breach analysis, UCC Article 2 sale-of-goods disputes, and damages calculations.
Use a structured legal rubric to assess issue spotting, accuracy of common law and UCC principles, and application of contract interpretation doctrines.
Identify gaps in AI reasoning concerning consideration, conditions, anticipatory repudiation, liquidated damages, and third-party beneficiary rights.
Provide detailed annotations and written feedback to refine AI models.
Collaborate with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals.
