About The Position

As an App Security Expert, you will apply application-security expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. The work involves designing realistic, purpose-built application fixtures and evaluations that help assess how AI systems learn, reason, and perform on security tasks. Prior AI experience is not required; domain knowledge is the focus. This is a remote contract role.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of OSWE, LLM security, AI-powered static analysis (AI-SAST), and application security best practices.
• Expertise in building, securing, and testing application codebases, including identifying and remediating advanced vulnerabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on precise technical documentation and collaborative feedback.

Nice To Haves

• Ideally 5+ years of experience in application security, secure software development, or CyberSWE roles.
• A proven track record designing or evaluating security architecture for traditional and agent-based applications.
• Experience with synthetic security fixtures and deterministic testing approaches.
• Ability to deliver thoughtful insights and actionable security recommendations in a remote contribution context.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement small, purpose-built application fixtures with embedded vulnerabilities or secure solutions, targeting OWASP LLM risks such as Sensitive Information Disclosure and Excessive Agency.
• Develop deterministic test cases and security-context manifests to assess application security posture.
• Create detailed hidden answer keys for evaluating AI or scanner results against vulnerable and secure code.
• Evaluate and iterate on pipeline methodologies to keep synthetic tasks and fixtures challenging and realistic for AppSec assessment.
• Document technical insights and methodologies, and provide clear written feedback.
• Communicate findings and review peer contributions through thorough written and verbal collaboration.
• Engage with agent-based security architecture and contribute to continuous improvement of the evaluation pipeline.
