About The Position

OCT Consulting is seeking a Senior Contract Close-out Specialist with over 7 years of experience to support a federal client. The role involves working within an acquisition office, preferably with experience in the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102. The ideal candidate will have expertise in closing various contract types, including firm-fixed, cost-reimbursement, time and material, labor hour, or hybrid contracts. This experience can be gained as a federal government employee or a contractor supporting federal or commercial acquisition offices.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Four- year degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of the FAR.
• More than seven (7) years of de-obligation and contract closeout experience of fixed-price and cost type contracts.
• Two years of experience reviewing DCAA Incurred Cost Audit submissions and Incurred Cost Audit Reports.
• Experience using the FAR in the de-obligation and close-out process.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting an acquisition office in the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Closing firm-fixed, cost-reimbursement, time and material, labor hour, or any variant to include hybrid contracts.
• Supporting an acquisition office in the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102.
• Handling an aged backlog of contracts that need to be maintained, closed out, tracked, and reported.
