About The Position

Catface is a YouTube entertainment company with a family of channels that have more than 28 million combined subscribers and average 300 million views per month. It creates fun, light-hearted narratives and entertainment for general audiences.

As a Contract Body Actor, you will bring characters to life by performing movements and interactions within Minecraft, Roblox, or both. The role involves scripted and improvised in-game performance in a fast-paced creative environment. No costume, motion-capture, or greenscreen work is involved. Vocal reference performances are done in the style of existing cast members; your voice and likeness will not appear in published content.

Expected hours are 0–30 per week, depending on availability and recording schedules. Sessions are typically held between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM CT, but may occasionally include after-hours work. The role is remote and classified as contract. Pay is $18.00–$20.00 per hour based on experience. A performance reel or gameplay sample demonstrating previous in-game character performance is required.

Requirements

• At least two years’ experience playing Minecraft.
• Strong improvisation skills and a sense of comedic timing.
• Experience using Audacity, Adobe Audition, or similar recording software.
• Ability to learn, replicate, and perform assigned character movements.
• Headphones, a microphone suitable for clear reference audio, and a high-speed internet connection.
• A computer capable of running modded Minecraft smoothly; the recommended setup includes an NVIDIA graphics card and at least 16 GB of RAM.
• Flexible availability, including the ability to record with 24 hours’ notice or less.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A performance reel or gameplay sample demonstrating previous in-game character performance is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate characters in-game during recording sessions, performing scripted and improvised character actions during gameplay.
• Follow in-game blocking, choreography, and movement instructions to match tone and pacing.
• Perform vocal reference performances in the style of existing cast members.
• Adapt performances to meet Catface’s tone, quality, and audience expectations.
• Maintain professionalism during recording sessions.
• Provide weekly availability and attend scheduled sessions promptly.
