Reporting to the Manager, Finance Contract Administration, the Contract Administrator undertakes financial administration with a focus on the review and validation of supplier invoices. This role provides support on other financial administration activities for lower complexity transactions.

Requirements

  • Completion of post-secondary education in commerce or business administration, accounting
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in contracting andfinancial management
  • Knowledge of core accounts payable and receivable processes, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of Unit 4 as well as the broader CCC, departments, and business lines
  • Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
  • Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, regulations, and guidelines
  • English Essential. Bilingual in both official languages is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Review supplier invoices to ensure alignment with contract and payment mechanisms/schedules
  • Set up new and changed contracts-enter transactional information including contract updates, amendments, performance requirements, status, and billing schedules/information into financial and contract management systems and databases
  • Initiate payment, billing and collection actions and undertake required issue resolution through analysis and contact with contract stakeholders
  • Update project-specific financials to track progress (both invoice and payments)
  • Assist in the preparation of certification requirement documentation for suppliers and notices to government departments
  • Liaise with contract stakeholders to resolve data quality issues including missing information and/or incorrect information or missing payments. Stakeholders may include buyers, Canadian government representatives, or financial institutions
  • Investigate gaps and deficiencies in data and information requiring identification and collection from multiple stakeholders and systems
  • Support a range of different contract vehicles (DPSA, international), systems, suppliers and CCC Contract Managers
