About The Position

In this role you will provide professional and administrative Contract Administration services to NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida pursuant to standard concepts, practices, and procedures as described within the Federal Acquisition Regulations for pre- and post-award acquisitions. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision; reports to a manager but also is client-facing, supporting one or more civil-servant contracting officers and/or contract specialists. This position operates onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of equivalent experience OR a high school diploma and 8 years of equivalent experience
  • Ability to gain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Mid-level procurement experience
  • In depth working knowledge of one or more federal government writing systems (NASA uses SAP, PPS, and now NCMS)
  • Ability to quickly grasp procurement terms, methodologies, and processes
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NASA systems and processes is highly desired
  • Professional certification in contracting is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and administrative Contract Administration services to NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida pursuant to standard concepts, practices, and procedures as described within the Federal Acquisition Regulations for pre- and post-award acquisitions.
  • Support the KSC Office of Procurement as a part of the NASA Agency-Wide Acquisition Support Services (AWASS) 2.0 program.
  • Perform cradle-to-grave procurement activities consistent with the regulatory requirements set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulations, NASA regulations, and KSC organizational procedures.
  • Prepare contract files and associated electronic documentation.
  • Create procurement actions (e.g., contract, order, mod) for contract execution.
  • Research basic acquisition procedures and requirements in the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Work with files on a SharePoint Site.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in person and through media such as video conferences and teleconferences.
