About The Position

This leader is responsible for overseeing the continuous improvement function and related activities in their plants. This leader ensures that their plant will successfully implement TRACC through Stage 3, work towards achieving plant CI objectives, and strengthen the plant’s E2E expertise in operational excellence. This leader will collaborate with the other plant functions to support plant CI needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement and related topics with experience managing large groups spanning across multiple areas with increasing responsibility and a demonstrated track record of success
  • BS/BA Degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
  • Proven experience leading Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Deep knowledge of CI-related topics and challenges, enterprise goals and culture management
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and implement sustainable process changes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using metrics, KPIs, and process performance data to identify improvement opportunities and measure impact.
  • Challenges and supports the team to explore and develop new and innovative approaches to achieve enterprise and plant-level goals
  • Builds high performing teams; is a highly effective coach to team members; Provides feedback that stretches individual development

Responsibilities

  • Oversee leadership pilot activities at various sites, facilitating learning and modeling initiatives.
  • Develop and own implementation plans for TRACC stages, ensuring progression and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Take ownership of identifying and reducing losses and waste within manufacturing sites.
  • Implement Implementation Task Forces (ITFs) across sites to drive efficiency and process improvements.
  • Drive Process Improvement Projects (PIPs) aimed at eliminating losses and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Review process improvements, analyze data, and provide recommendations for driving results.
  • Develop strategies for continuous improvement at manufacturing sites, addressing operational challenges and driving performance enhancements.
  • Offer coaching and implementation support in reliability engineering and constraint management to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Standardize training materials and documentation for key processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Investigate deviations in key performance indicators, conduct root cause analysis, and address issues accordingly.
  • Apply operations excellence principles and tools to drive improvements aligned with business strategies, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
