This co-op position is for Winter 2027 and is focused on Continuous Improvement Engineering. The role involves performing data mining, six sigma exercises, and structured problem-solving. Interns will complete projects in various departments, potentially utilizing lean tools such as Standard Work, 5s, Kanban, Changeover reduction, Error Proofing, and Visual Management. The position requires monitoring the shop floor or office for waste and non-value-added activities, conducting audits, and reporting findings. Responsibilities also include assisting with information and research materials, preparing presentations, taking notes during workshops, typing documents, managing files, managing databases, and attending company functions and networking events.
