About The Position

This Co-Op position is for talented individuals with a strong passion for Manufacturing and working in a state-of-the-art facility to produce a national brand leading product in Wisconsin. The role involves collaborating with others to deliver measurable results that grow the Sargento brand. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, creative, analytical, collaborative, and goal-driven, seeking an opportunity to expand their skills in leading teams, promoting safety, identifying efficiencies, increasing productivity, and problem-solving within a manufacturing facility. The role also emphasizes the importance of collecting and analyzing data to identify trends, measure performance, and drive decision-making.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, engineering, organizational leadership or other related field, having completed sophomore year prior to the start of Co-Op
  • Passion for learning and growing in the manufacturing industry
  • Interest in data collection, analysis, and turning findings into actionable insights
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of manufacturing
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative
  • Strength with strategic and analytical thinking
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and vehicle required. There is no mass/public transit system to/from corporate housing location to company locations

Responsibilities

  • Learn to influence individuals and teams in a safe and efficient manner within the manufacturing environment.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on operational data to support continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and problem-solving efforts.
  • Support the execution of DMAIC methodology on continuous improvement projects within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with Operations to identify performance gaps through data analysis and apply continuous improvement tools to develop and implement solutions that drive progress toward defined goals.
  • Apply good leadership techniques to achieve or exceed the expected level of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People related metrics.
  • Help with ideas to improve current processes.
  • Attend meetings with Supervisors and Managers to gain understanding of current projects/focuses.
  • Participate in problem solving to overcome production related problems, materials shortages, equipment malfunctions and unavoidable delays where possible to reduce their impact on operations.
