About The Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Co-op to support Continuous Improvement and Capital Projects functions for the upcoming term. This role is suited to a student interested in process improvement, operations, reliability, or project management. The Co-op will gain hands-on experience working directly with the Continuous Improvement and Capital Projects Manager, supporting day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
Nice To Haves
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfort working with software platforms; experience with CMMS tools such as MaintainX or similar is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Lean tools, such as 5S, standard work, or value stream mapping.
- Prior internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing, operations, or project environment.
- Exposure to project management or data analysis tools.
Responsibilities
- Participate in process improvement activities and support Lean initiatives across the facility.
- Assist with capital project planning, documentation, and progress tracking.
- Conduct research, gather data, and prepare reports or presentations for ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support meetings, take notes, and follow up on assigned action items.
- Maintain organized records, files, and project documentation.
- Perform general administrative tasks and contribute ideas to team discussions.
