About The Position

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is seeking a Continuing Education & Program Manager to oversee and support the planning, coordination, and implementation of continuing education programs and chapter events for the Florida and Georgia chapters. This role works closely with the Chapters Executive Director, Director of Communication, Membership and Program Coordinator, Executive Assistant, and Chapter interns. Requirements

  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and ongoing administrative tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication to handle correspondence, prepare reports, and liaise with members and stakeholders
  • Attention to detail for accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Professional and courteous customer service when assisting members via phone, email, and social media
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Comfort with online platforms for CE tracking, event registration, and virtual meeting logistics.
  • Basic knowledge of tools such as PDF and Canva.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of social work practice, policies, and ethical standards, including the NASW Code of Ethics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience supporting event planning.
  • Experience supporting event planning and committees.
  • Experience handling member records and financial information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with licensing procedures and state CE laws (Florida and Georgia specific knowledge is preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of continuing education programs and chapter events for Florida and Georgia chapters.
  • Assists in developing revenue-generating continuing education (CE) programs, events, and resources for NASW Georgia and NASW Florida and promoting these programs.
  • Handles registrations, confirmations, and participant communications of CE events to Georgia and Florida chapter members.
  • Supports speaker coordination, materials collection, and program setup for both Chapters.
  • Tracks attendance and prepares CE certificates and documentation for both Chapters and maintains CE files as required by Georgia and Florida law.
  • Tabulates evaluations and conducts follow-up as needed for CE events.
  • Provides responsive support to CE participants and event attendees in Georgia and Florida.
  • Supports the Communication Director on the planning and execution of the annual conferences and Social Work Month events for Florida and Georgia.
  • Supports event timelines, run-of-show execution, and post-event follow-up for programs in Georgia and Florida including preparing event materials, signage, and on-site coordination needs.
  • Supports accessibility and accommodation requests for Georgia and Florida members.
  • Assists the Membership Coordinator with promotion of membership programming and events.
