Continuing Education Instructor- After School STEM Instructor
About The Position
MCC’s Continuing Education division is seeking enthusiastic instructors to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences for after-school STEM classes during the 2026–27 school year. Topics may include technology such as coding, robotics, and drones; biological sciences; environmental sciences; and engineering. Instructors introduce students to STEM concepts in a safe, supportive, and interactive environment. The position offers opportunities for teaching assignments throughout the year. After-school programming typically takes place on weekdays from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The listed classification is temporary, and compensation is commensurate with the level of the position, education, and experience.
Requirements
- Teaching experience with children and teens.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging and practical course content from a provided curriculum.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to helping others achieve personal growth and enrichment.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of technology, including coding, robotics, or drones; biological sciences; environmental sciences; and/or an area of engineering.
