Continuing Care Assistant
About The Position
The Continuing Care Assistant provides personal care and activities of daily living for clients, patients, and residents to encourage an optimum level of functioning. The role supports clients, patients, and residents in meeting their physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs. This casual position is based in the Long Term Care Nursing Unit at Northwest Community Lodge in Meadow Lake. There are no guaranteed hours. The successful applicant must be available for at least 24 hours per three-week period and available for all shifts, short shifts, short-notice calls, statistics, and holidays, where applicable.
Requirements
- Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) certificate.
- Communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be available for a minimum of 24 hours per three-week period and available for all shifts, short shifts, short-notice calls, statistics, and holidays, where applicable.
- Required education or equivalent must be completed within a specified timeframe.
- Food Safe certificate, where required.
- Valid driver's license, where required.
