About The Position

LaunchSquad is seeking a Content Writer to join their Content Studio, an in-house team of editorial, content marketing, paid strategy, and creative experts. This role focuses on developing original content for integrated communications and content marketing programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about writing, possess strong editorial instincts, and excel at transforming complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives. This is a hands-on production role involving information gathering, interviewing, writing, and editing across various formats and technology topics. The Content Writer will support four client teams, collaborating with public relations and content marketing colleagues on integrated communications programs. They will report to a senior editorial lead and be responsible for a wide range of content, including executive thought leadership posts, articles, industry reports, landing pages, social content, and podcast/video scripts. The role also involves identifying how core stories can be adapted across different channels to connect content strategy with public relations, executive communications, social media, and other distribution opportunities. The successful candidate will be a flexible, proactive, and highly organized writer with proven experience in brand/publication writing and editing, source interviewing, and developing social or multimedia content. Experience translating complex B2B technology topics like AI, cybersecurity, data, enterprise software, and fintech into clear, compelling stories is essential. LaunchSquad offers a flexible, hybrid workplace with offices in San Francisco, New York, Boston, and Chicago, and is also open to US-based remote employees. Applicants are required to submit a writing portfolio.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in journalism, content marketing, or communications
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, including an active portfolio of work
  • Strong research and interviewing skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling stories
  • Experience applying sound editorial judgment and paying close attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A flexible, proactive, and highly organized approach to work and team collaboration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience optimizing content for LLMs, LinkedIn, and other digital channels is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit a high volume of B2B content, including executive thought leadership, articles, industry reports, landing pages, case studies, social content, and podcast and video scripts
  • Research complex topics and interview executives and subject-matter experts to uncover distinctive ideas and points of view
  • Develop story concepts and editorial angles that align with each client’s communications strategy and editorial calendar
  • Plan how stories move across channels—from a lead article or report to social posts, executive content, video, podcasts, and other supporting assets
  • Build and manage editorial calendars, assignments, and project timelines
  • Balance work across four client teams, proactively communicating priorities, deadlines, and potential roadblocks
  • Collaborate with PR, content marketing, social, and creative colleagues to deliver cohesive, integrated communications programs
  • Edit and proofread your work and others’ for story, structure, clarity, accuracy, and consistency
