About The Position

We are a multi-platform production company, social media agency, and digital media network seeking a Content Strategist to join our Social Video Services team. This role ensures that department deliverables are of the highest standard, while simultaneously delivering and innovating on creative output for top-tier clients. The Content Strategist works collaboratively across all departments at Little Dot Studios, playing a key part in establishing and maintaining the company's creative identity. This role supports all creative content development across the SVS team, assisting platform managers and strategists in creating content that outperforms benchmarks. They may contribute to trend reports, proposals, playbooks, and competitive reports to enhance content strategies. The role involves creating, optimizing, and distributing video content for YouTube and social video platforms across various verticals, and may involve mentoring platform managers interested in creative development and content strategy.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of social media and/or related digital marketing experience
  • Team Management Experience
  • Excellent knowledge of YouTube and social video platforms and a clear awareness of the differences between them when it comes to effective native video content
  • An in-depth understanding of YouTube analytics and how they should inform platform-specific creative
  • Excellent skills in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
  • Experience producing social video (timecodes)
  • Highly creative, online native, and constantly up to date on social trends
  • Great communication, both written and verbal
  • Excellent client management skills with demonstrable experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to proof-check your own work
  • Team player with a hard-working flexible attitude, a good sense of humour and an interest in working in a dynamic start-up environment
  • Candidates must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Ideating creative video concepts for globally known brands on social video platforms
  • Using a blend of platform data, current trends, and creative instincts to inform channel strategy
  • Effectively communicating and/or pitching ideas to internal teams and clients
  • Creating eye-catching images, GIFs, and social posts
  • Writing compelling on-brand copy for posts, understanding the importance of editorial voice and tone
  • Using YouTube analytics to help inform strategic channel decisions
