About The Position

The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for defining, creating, and managing high-quality content for members and associates across digital, email, web, and internal communication channels. This role serves as the primary lead for member and employee communications, translating organizational goals and strategic direction into effective messaging, campaigns, and communication plans. The Content Marketing Manager owns day-to-day content development, communication planning, editorial workflow management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure content is delivered accurately, consistently, and on schedule. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, this role develops communications that strengthen engagement, support business objectives, and reinforce the company's brand, culture, and value proposition while maintaining alignment with established messaging standards and content priorities.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years in content marketing, copywriting, or digital communications
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Project management and competing deadlines is needed
  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress preferred)
  • Experience developing and managing email content
  • Understanding of SEO and digital content best practices
  • Basic design skills (Canva or similar tools)
  • Experience with cross-functional communications or internal messaging
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, email reporting)

Responsibilities

  • Own website content strategy, structure, and messaging
  • Write, edit, and optimize website content across key pages and the member portal
  • Define page structure, hierarchy, and user experience
  • Ensure SEO best practices (keywords, readability, metadata, structure)
  • Partner with Marketing Operations for technical build, publishing, and ongoing optimization
  • Develop and write email and SMS campaigns
  • Define campaign messaging, audience, and timing
  • Develop and manage editorial calendars for member communications, newsletters, product updates, and organizational communications
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and brand voice
  • Partner with Marketing Operations for list segmentation, deployment, and performance monitoring
  • Create and manage content across channels, including blogs, articles, email campaigns, announcements, website content, and member and employee communications
  • Develop content that supports campaigns, events, member engagement initiatives, and organizational priorities
  • Coordinate content development through the full lifecycle, including drafting, stakeholder review, feedback incorporation, approval workflows, and publication
  • Ensure all communications are accurate, clear, audience-appropriate, and aligned with business objectives, messaging standards, and brand voice
  • Maintain content standards, templates, style guidelines, and editorial calendars to support consistency across channels and audiences
  • Manage timelines, priorities, and stakeholder expectations to ensure communications progress efficiently from concept through execution
  • Escalate sensitive, high-visibility, or enterprise-wide communications as appropriate and collaborate with the Senior Manager, Content Marketing on messaging direction and final alignment
  • Develop communication plans and messaging in collaboration with Human Resources, key department leaders, and the Senior Manager, Content Marketing for stakeholder review and leadership alignment
  • Create employee-facing communications including leadership announcements, company updates, benefits communications, recognition programs, culture initiatives, and organizational change communications
  • Manage internal communication initiatives to ensure messaging is timely, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities
  • Ensure employee communications reflect organizational values, brand standards, and business objectives
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to measure engagement and effectiveness and recommend communication improvements
  • Translate marketing goals into content strategies and deliverables
  • Provide creative direction for design assets, including messaging, intent, and content structure
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to execute and deliver campaigns
  • Ensure campaign content aligns with brand standards and business objectives
  • Provide recommendations for communication strategy, messaging, and content approaches while partnering with the Senior Manager, Content Marketing on final direction and approval
  • Partner with Clinical, Member Services, Human Resources, People & Culture, Product, PMO, and other key stakeholders to identify communication needs and gather insights
  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for member and employee communication initiatives
  • Coordinate stakeholder input, review cycles, and feedback throughout content development
  • Ensure consistency across all member and employee-facing communications
  • Analyze content performance across email, web, and internal communication channels
  • Use insights and engagement metrics to improve messaging, communication effectiveness, and audience engagement
  • Continuously optimize based on trends and campaign results
