About The Position

Sunrun, a leader in home solar and battery solutions, is seeking a skilled B2B Content Marketing Manager. This role involves being the chief storyteller and brand voice custodian, creating content for business-to-business audiences, particularly within the New Homes and Real Estate sectors. The ideal candidate will understand the energy industry, possess strong writing and strategic skills, and be able to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives for B2B partners. This position is a key member of the Brand and Product team, responsible for the entire content lifecycle from ideation to distribution, aiming to convert B2B prospects into loyal partners.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional writing experience in content marketing, copywriting, journalism, or an agency role.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp complex concepts in solar technology, battery storage, home energy management, and utility regulations.
  • Proven B2B content expertise with a track record of full-funnel content creation, including pitch decks, thought-leadership, conversion-focused web copy, and customer success stories.
  • Commercial mindset with experience tying content to growth metrics, lead generation, pipeline acceleration, or revenue.
  • Project management skills, including calendar management and cross-functional coordination.
  • Comfort using CMS platforms and leveraging AI productivity tools for research and outlining.
  • Ability to translate complex, technical, and regulatory solar concepts into compelling narratives for corporate decision-makers.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience writing for or working within the construction, real estate, or home building industries.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with B2B sales channel leaders to understand partner pain points, industry themes, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Develop a comprehensive B2B content strategy that aligns Sunrun's offerings with key audience needs (Builders, Real Estate Developers).
  • Write and oversee the creation of B2B content across various formats, including video scripts, web pages, pitch decks, customer success stories, and thought-leadership pieces.
  • Collaborate with internal design and video production teams to guide creative asset development.
  • Track, analyze, and report on B2B content performance to refine strategy and distribution.
  • Manage and execute specialized content initiatives based on company objectives and market opportunities.
