About The Position

Sunrun, a leader in home solar and battery solutions, is seeking a skilled B2B Content Marketing Manager to join their Brand and Product team. This role is crucial for driving business growth by crafting compelling narratives for B2B audiences, including home builders and real estate developers. The manager will be responsible for the entire content lifecycle, from strategy and creation to distribution and analysis, ensuring Sunrun's value proposition is clearly communicated to key partners. The position is based in San Francisco, CA, with flexibility for candidates within 35 miles of the Lehi, UT Corporate office.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional writing experience in content marketing, copywriting, journalism, or an agency role.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp complex concepts (solar technology, battery storage, energy management, utility regulations) and translate them into clear benefits for B2B partners.
  • B2B content expertise with a proven track record of full-funnel content creation, including pitch decks, thought-leadership, conversion-focused web copy, and customer success stories.
  • Commercial mindset with experience tying content to growth metrics and supporting KPIs like lead generation, pipeline acceleration, or revenue.
  • Project management skills, including managing a calendar, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, and keeping content pipelines on schedule.
  • Comfort using CMS platforms and leveraging modern AI productivity tools for research and outlining.

  • Prior experience writing for or working within the construction, real estate, or home building industries.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with leaders of B2B sales channels to understand partner pain points, industry themes, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Develop a comprehensive B2B content strategy tailored for key audiences like Builders and Real Estate Developers.
  • Write and oversee the creation of B2B content across various formats, including video scripts, web pages, pitch decks, customer success stories, and thought-leadership pieces.
  • Collaborate with internal design and video production teams to guide creative assets from draft to final delivery.
  • Track, measure, and analyze the performance of B2B content to refine strategy and distribution.
  • Manage and execute specialized content areas and campaigns based on evolving company initiatives, policy changes, and market opportunities.
