About The Position

The Content Manager is responsible for researching relevant travel topics, creating and implementing thoughtful, data-driven content plans, and collaborating with a creative/production team to develop content that translates across print and digital channels. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can support a wide array of projects and clients simultaneously, and thinks strategically while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines are essential. The ideal candidate can manage their own workflow, coordinate with teams on schedules and goals, respond positively to feedback, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Experience communicating with clients and managing internal and external relationships is also important, along with a can-do attitude and dependable work ethic.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years’ experience in content development preferably with a tourism or features focus.
  • Extensive long-form writing experience.
  • Advanced understanding of and continual self-education on marketing best practices.
  • Understand and navigate digital-media platforms.
  • Proficient with web-content best practices, including SEO and uploading content into a content management system.
  • Ability to utilize approved AI tools to assist with research, drafting, optimization and workflow efficiency while maintaining quality, accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Possesses an engaging writing style, creativity, and excellent attention to detail, along with the ability to shift voices/writing styles for different brands.
  • Demonstrates a healthy balance of creative, editorial and technical skills.
  • Ability to review and distill multiple sources of information to support strategy and provide direction.
  • Understands consumer behaviors related to travel planning and travel technology.

Responsibilities

  • Creates high-quality travel marketing content for multiple platforms.
  • Leverages research, website analytics, SEO tools, client-marketing objectives and brand positioning to create content calendars, drive strategy and develop effective content across multiple platforms.
  • Successfully employs SEO best practices to drive traffic to content, keeping in mind effective user experience in interactive products.
  • Plans and produces content for clients’ various content channels, including email marketing, social media and more.
  • Presents content strategies and concepts to clients and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Supports other content creators through collaboration on story ideas, copyediting and proofreading content.
  • Mentors junior content creators.
