About The Position

Helcim is seeking a Content Manager to develop and own its content strategy, aiming to increase brand awareness and customer acquisition within its target markets, particularly small business owners in healthcare, professional services, automotive, and wholesale. This role combines leadership and individual contribution, offering creative freedom to implement and scale a multi-channel strategy, including webinars, newsletters, and Reddit community management. The Content Manager will be the primary custodian of Helcim's brand narrative, balancing long-term brand building with immediate tactical execution. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging AI as a force multiplier for content workflows, enabling faster and smarter scaling while maintaining a human connection with merchants. The ideal candidate is driven by the satisfaction of creating content that helps merchants solve problems and grow their businesses, possesses a curious, merchant-centered storytelling approach, and has a natural creative flair for engaging content. An elite editing ability, hands-on curiosity for AI integration in content systems, strong SEO instincts, and a collaborative, hustle-oriented mindset are essential. The role also requires the ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization and an excitement for working in a growing, scaling company.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in the content world, ideally in B2B Tech or SaaS.
  • 3–5 years of experience directly managing in-house creatives, freelancers, or agencies.
  • Proven track record of building and executing multi-channel content strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across a range of formats and audiences.
  • Comfort with AI tools, automation, and content operations platforms.
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment is a strong asset.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and own an end-to-end content calendar built to engage and convert small business merchants.
  • Produce, write, and oversee high-quality content across diverse formats — webinars, newsletters, social communities, video, and more.
  • Continuously test new formats and platforms to discover what resonates best with our core audience segments.
  • Lead, mentor, and unblock a nimble content engine — managing one in-house YouTube Creator alongside freelance copywriters and video editors.
  • Streamline content operations and scale production by thoughtfully leveraging AI tools and automated workflows.
  • Maintain and enforce writing guides to ensure absolute consistency across all outputs, regardless of who is creating the content.
  • Further shape and refine Helcim’s brand tone of voice, striking the perfect balance between qualitative customer insights and quantitative performance marketing feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional growth teams to ensure content supports broader acquisition goals.
