About The Position

Imbue is a startup focused on building open-source AI tools that prioritize human ownership and control. They are developing a suite of products designed to serve humanity, with initial projects including tools for agent management, AI code error detection, test distribution, local agent integration with APIs, and code optimization. The company has secured significant funding from notable investors and is valued at over $1 billion. The role of Content Designer is crucial for running Imbue's content engine and communications, shaping the company's narrative across various platforms to engage builders and the AI community. This position involves working closely with marketing and brand leads to develop and distribute content, manage integrated campaigns, and amplify Imbue's mission-driven message.

Requirements

  • Lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • 5+ years of experience in content, communications, and integrated campaigns.
  • Proven ability to write compelling content, thinking in terms of posts, threads, and headlines.
  • Experience ghostwriting for a founder or executive, with the ability to capture their voice.
  • Familiarity with and ability to use code.
  • Experience building something with AI agents.
  • Understanding of PR reviews and preferred IDE tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a founding marketer or first content/comms hire at a developer or AI company.

Responsibilities

  • Run the content engine and integrate campaigns
  • Own content programs end-to-end, including blogs, essays, threads, video scripts, landing pages, email sequences, launch posts, and manifestos.
  • Tie content together in thoughtfully executed and integrated campaigns for product launches, mission moments, and community building.
  • Extract short-form content from long-form thinking of cofounders, transforming essays into threads, interviews into clips, and product evolutions into developer-focused stories.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent publishing rhythm: daily on social media, weekly on the blog and email, with continuous content in development.
  • Build and manage a centralized content calendar for company-wide visibility of shipped content.
  • Translate technical concepts into accessible, friendly copy.
  • Drive communications for press, podcasts, conferences, and analyst conversations, working with a PR agency.
  • Build relationships with key writers, podcasters, and creators in the AI space.
  • Shape launch communications for product, research, and other teams, ensuring releases have the right narrative and reach.
  • Identify and measure the effectiveness of content and communication efforts.
  • Build and manage a system for cofounders to publish content on their personal channels, including ghostwriting or editing and prompting for various platforms.
  • Facilitate direct communication for founders by capturing voice notes, surfacing ideas, drafting, and publishing content.
  • Coordinate content timing, sequencing, and amplification across cofounder and company-owned channels.
