About The Position

The Container Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering and/or removing waste or recycling carts and bins for customers. The role involves routine physical exertion, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling carts or bins, as well as entering and exiting the truck. Drivers must operate the vehicle safely and provide courteous customer service. Hours and physical demands may vary by route or area.

Requirements

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged physical exertion and repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
Ability to read and understand a map.
Ability to drive a truck with a manual transmission.
General knowledge of truck mechanics.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
Additional skills may be required for tasks specific to the work location, department, or line of business.

Responsibilities

Operate the truck and perform job duties safely in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
Deliver and/or remove waste or recycling carts and bins for customers.
Complete proper documentation for deliveries and removals.
Maintain and update work orders.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
Maintain and update driver log sheets.
Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
Assist with other projects and areas as needed.
Promote a positive work atmosphere through conduct and communication that supports good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
