About The Position

Coastal Waste & Recycling is hiring a CDL Container Delivery Driver to safely operate a Container Delivery Truck and service customers along assigned routes. The driver collects, transports, delivers, exchanges, or disposes of materials while providing excellent customer service and representing the company professionally. Routes may serve residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers. The role includes completing vehicle inspections, operating hydraulic equipment, reporting mechanical or safety concerns and route delays, communicating with dispatch and operations, and using onboard technology for route documentation. Drivers are expected to maintain a clean, safe vehicle, follow DOT regulations and company procedures, wear required PPE, and assist teammates or with other operational needs after completing their route. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and the ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds, as well as climb, bend, squat, kneel, and enter and exit equipment throughout the workday. Overtime and varying schedules may be required based on business needs.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and associated equipment.
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Container Delivery Truck on assigned routes.
Service residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers based on the assigned route.
Collect, transport, deliver, exchange, or dispose of materials in accordance with operational procedures.
Operate hydraulic equipment and vehicle controls safely and efficiently.
Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Promptly report mechanical concerns, safety issues, accidents, or route delays.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations throughout the day.
Use onboard technology and electronic devices to complete route documentation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle.
Assist teammates with their routes or other operational needs as directed by management.
Follow DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Coastal Waste & Recycling professionally.
