About The Position

Waste Connections is hiring a safety-conscious Container Delivery Driver in Haltom City, Texas. The driver operates a container delivery truck to deliver carts and containers in neighborhoods and at other designated locations, providing trash and recycling services to the local community. The work is year-round and takes place in varied weather and sometimes dirty, unpleasant, or otherwise challenging conditions. It involves extensive physical activity, including repeated vehicle entry and exit, container scrubbing, operating hydraulic controls, and lifting, pushing, and pulling. The role also involves moderate noise and exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, fumes, and vibration. The position pays $23.00–$25.00 per hour. The expected schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, for approximately 45–55 hours per week. Requirements

Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Comfort with physical labor, including lifting, pushing, and pulling 50 pounds or more.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
Availability to work Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays, approximately 45–55 hours per week.
Follow basic safety precautions and remain aware of surrounding hazards and changing situations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate the delivery truck in neighborhoods, at sites, and at special events.
Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Use hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and trash containers at designated facilities.
Interact courteously with customers.
Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
