About The Position

This role involves assisting Medical Doctors (MDs) and Optometrists (ODs) with contact lens fittings and evaluations. The Contact Lens Tech will educate patients on contact lens care, usage, and available products. Responsibilities include ordering contact lenses and supplies, analyzing patient charts to ensure proper lens selection, and providing insertion/removal training. The position also entails filing insurance claims, contacting patients for order pick-ups, scheduling dispensing appointments, managing contact lens trial inventory, and following up on pending fittings. Additionally, the role supports satellite offices with contact lens orders, maintains a clean workspace, and may involve dispensing, adjusting, and repairing glasses, as well as organizing frame boards and cleaning demo lenses and frames. Responsibilities

Assist MDs/ODs in performing contact lens fitting and evaluations.
Educate patients on contact lens care, usage, and products.
Order contacts and contact supplies, as needed.
Analyze patient charts to ensure patients are fitted with proper lenses/correction.
Provide contact lens insertion/removal training to patients.
File insurance claims in a timely manner.
Call patients for contact lens and glasses pick-up and/or schedule dispensing appointments.
Review CL trial lens inventory and order as needed.
Review pending CL fittings and call patients to finalize or to schedule follow-up appointments.
Assist satellite offices in ordering contacts as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Dispense, adjust, repair glasses as needed.
Organize frame boards and cleaning demo lenses and frames as needed.
Verify incoming glasses orders.
