Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work independently while following established policies and guidelines.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

Review, validate, and evaluate consumer loan applications received through all lending channels.
Analyze loan applications and supporting documentation to assess risk and make lending decisions within authorized approval limits.
Request additional information when needed to ensure complete and accurate underwriting decisions.
Build and maintain professional relationships with members, team members, and business partners.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and Credit Union policies, regulations, and lending guidelines.
Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking to evaluate unique lending scenarios.
Research unfamiliar underwriting situations and present well-supported recommendations and solutions to leadership.
