The State of Connecticut, Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) is currently accepting applications for multiple Consumer Protection Drug Control Agents (Pharmaceutical) within the Drug Control Division in Hartford. This is a First Shift, Full Time, 40 hours per week position, Monday - Friday, but may include nights and weekends. The location is 450 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford, with potential for hybrid schedules (office/telework). A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained. Incumbents must possess and retain a license as a registered Pharmacist in Connecticut. The Consumer Protection Drug Control Agent (Pharmaceutical) will be responsible for duties that vary considerably depending on the nature of the program and the current stage in its life cycle. The role involves acting as a consultant and advisor, inspecting and monitoring drug distribution systems, investigating illegal activities, conducting surveillances, raids, embargoes and seizures, interviewing witnesses and suspects, serving warrants, making arrests, testifying in court, providing training, and responding to disasters and recalls involving drugs, cosmetics, and devices.
