About The Position

This role is responsible for processing, following up on, and funding direct consumer loans. The specialist will also provide support and service to members and branches. Key functions include becoming knowledgeable about Consumer Lending products, services, and processes, and learning to offer these products and services on eligible loans. The specialist will perform tasks leading up to the creation of loan documents and the funding or disposition of personal consumer loans and credit cards, ensuring an acceptable quantity of loans are produced with a high degree of accuracy, meeting service level agreements and loan volume objectives. The role requires adherence to all federal and state laws, Credit Union policies, and maintaining high confidentiality. Responsibilities also include responding to inquiries within service level agreements, communicating professionally, and assisting in other areas of Consumer Lending as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six months’ general office work with some knowledge of consumer loans products and regulations preferred.
  • Must be well organized, articulate with effective written and oral communication skills, ensuring completeness and consistency.
  • Proficient in end-user computer technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Process, follow-up, and fund direct consumer loans.
  • Provide support and service to members and branches.

  • Offer products and services on eligible loans.
  • Perform all tasks, in assigned queues, leading up to the creation of loan documents and funding or disposition of personal consumer loans and credit cards.
  • Produce an acceptable quantity of loans with a high degree of accuracy that meet service level agreements and loan volume objectives.
  • Perform all duties accurately, earnestly, and honestly, and maintain a high-level confidentiality to safeguard member's information.
  • Comply with all federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and Credit Union policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Respond to all inquiries within established service level agreements.
  • Communicate with everyone in an articulate, diplomatic, and professional manner.
  • Assist in all other areas of Consumer Lending, of similar or lower category, as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
