About The Position

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a mid-level Associate in the Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice. They can be based in our Miami, DC, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix or Dallas offices. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. Greenberg Traurig’s Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice comprises of more than 80 attorneys throughout the United States and in Latin America, Europe and Asia. We continue to build on a practice base that, while very broad, is nonetheless refined to serve the unique industry, practice, and jurisdictional needs of our diverse client base.

Requirements

Between 3 and 5 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience (particularly in the areas of mortgage lending and servicing, consumer finance, commercial finance, alternative lending products such as buy now, pay later (BNPL) and earned wage access (EWA) products , and FinTech products and structures).
Significant experience with state licensing.
Knowledge of key financial services laws and regulations (e.g., TILA, RESPA, UDAAP/UDAP, HMDA, FCRA, and FDCPA).
Strong academic background.
Excellent legal research, analysis and writing skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Willingness to take on significant responsibility.
Strong commitment to client service.
Diligent, proactive and team oriented.
Admitted to or eligible for admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Nice To Haves

Enforcement experience is a plus.
Experience with money services businesses and payment systems.
Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
