About The Position

The Consumer Direct Loan Specialist performs outbound sales calls to explore customers' financial needs with a focus on building and broadening existing customer or business relationships using multiple Huntington products. This role involves explaining the features and benefits of alternate financial solutions and making sales referrals to specialized areas like Insurance and Mortgage. The specialist demonstrates initiative, discipline, and the ability to consistently meet specific efficiency targets and production goals, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products, services, technology, and regulations. They must comply fully with quality and risk standards and may assist with short-term inbound call support or additional outbound calling projects as needed. The position requires adherence to a disciplined approach to making outbound calls that meet productivity standards, understanding sales tracking/pipeline management, and engaging in purposeful conversations to review equity options that meet customer needs. Accurate and thorough loan application input is essential, along with strict adherence to Quality/Risk/Policies & Procedures/Learning and Updates/System requirements. Other duties may be assigned as needed. This position is considered a Mortgage Loan Originator under the SAFE Act and Loan Originator under the Truth in Lending Act, requiring registration and additional qualifications.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of previous sales experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Registration and additional qualifications required as a Mortgage Loan Originator under the SAFE Act and Loan Originator under the Truth in Lending Act.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial phone sales experience in the consumer lending and/or mortgage fields or business banking.
  • Related financial products and/or fields.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
