About The Position

At ERM, early‑career professionals don’t just assist on projects — they build the foundation for a meaningful consulting career rooted in science, collaboration, and real‑world impact. As a Consulting Senior Associate, Environmental Scientist (Assistant Wetland Delineator) based in New Orleans, Louisiana or Houston, Texas, you will contribute directly to field‑based environmental assessments that guide responsible development across infrastructure, energy, and land‑use projects. This role offers hands‑on learning, exposure to industry‑leading experts, and the opportunity to apply technical skills in environments where your work truly matters — all within a global sustainability consulting firm known for purpose‑driven work and technical excellence. Wetlands and water resources play a critical role in ecosystem health, climate resilience, and sustainable development. In this position, your field expertise and technical contributions help clients understand environmental constraints, meet regulatory requirements, and make informed decisions that protect natural resources. Your work supports ERM’s Impact Assessment services and reinforces our commitment to balancing development with environmental stewardship. As part of ERM’s Impact Assessment team, you will support a broad portfolio of projects through fieldwork, data collection, analysis, and reporting. You will contribute to wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and environmental constraints analyses while collaborating closely with experienced environmental scientists and multidisciplinary teams. Your efforts help ensure ERM delivers high‑quality, technically sound solutions that meet client needs — safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.
