Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, or related field and 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience which may include, but is not limited to, management consulting, project management, construction management, architecture, and/or other related work experience.
  • Significant experience applying technical and commercial knowledge across large capital projects and programs, including project management, engineering, construction management, cost estimating, project controls, scheduling, procurement, contract management, financing, risk management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience supporting power generation, utility, energy, infrastructure, industrial, transportation, data center, or other large-scale capital projects is strongly preferred.
  • A valid passport is required.
  • High proficiency with the MS Office Suite of Products.
  • You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior professional services or management consulting experience.
  • An advanced degree in engineering or business, PMP, PE, LEED, CCA, CIA, CCP, and/or Registered Architect certifications.
  • Established networking skills.
  • Experience with industry-leading capital project technologies, including Project Management Information Systems (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet, e-Builder, Autodesk Construction Cloud) and advanced reporting and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Databricks AI/BI, Capitol.ai).
  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead engagements related to client services in strategic program and project advisory, capital project planning, development, and execution support, independent project, commercial, and technical assessments, program governance, organization, and controls optimization, program and project risk management, Project Management Office (PMO) design and implementation, cost, schedule, and performance evaluation, capital program controls, key performance indicators and reporting, contracting, procurement, and commercial advisory support, contractor compliance, cost evaluation, and recovery, infrastructure, power generation, and energy project advisory, financing, investment, and business case support, regulatory, stakeholder, and permitting coordination, independent evaluation of program and project performance, integrity and compliance monitoring, program and project technology and data strategy and optimization.
  • Oversee project delivery and client deliverables.
  • Manage engagement economics including budgeting, forecasting, and billing.
  • Create and foster client relationships.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying new client opportunities and crafting proposals.
  • Participate in establishing the firm's point of view and thought leadership on key industry topics.
  • Assess operating models, organizational structures, and business processes to streamline capital program management and project delivery.
  • Manage the creation of proposals, presentations and other client-facing materials and deliverables.
  • Communicate EY's point of view on relevant and current topics and trends in the capital program and projects arena.
  • Analyze and draw insights from complex data sets.
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, benchmarking and create reports.
  • Develop presentation materials, briefings, scorecards, and implementation documents.
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products.
  • Inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members and use current technology/analytical and reporting tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
  • Eagerness to mentor and counsel junior staff.
