As a Consultant within our Operational Risk Management practice, you will help organisations identify, manage, and reduce risk while improving operational performance and building safer, more resilient operations. Working alongside experienced consultants and industry specialists, you will contribute to challenging projects that help clients strengthen process safety performance, mitigate major accident hazards, and improve risk governance across complex operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Operational Risk Management, Process Safety, Process Safety Management (PSM), or Major Accident Hazard Management within the oil & gas, chemicals or petrochemicals industry.
  • Experience working in upstream, midstream, downstream, LNG, petrochemical, or refinery operations.
  • Solid understanding of operational risk assessment methodologies and risk management systems eg. HAZOP, HAZID
  • Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks related to process safety and operational risk management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa is essential for this role
  • Willingness to travel within Indonesia and across the region as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters’ Degree preferred.
  • Previous management consulting experience.
  • Experience supporting transformation, operational improvement, or safety performance programmes.
  • Exposure to client-facing project work and workshop facilitation.
  • International project experience.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to operational risk management and process safety projects across industries including oil and gas, chemicals etc
  • Support client assessments, workshops, analyses, and improvement initiatives.
  • Work directly with client teams to help implement practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Evaluate risk management frameworks, process safety management systems, and operational controls.
  • Support major hazard risk studies, gap assessments, audits, and performance improvement programmes.
  • Analyse operational data and identify opportunities to strengthen safety and operational performance.
  • Develop high-quality client deliverables, reports, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver measurable outcomes for clients.
  • Build expertise across operational risk management, process safety, operational excellence, and consulting methodologies.
