About The Position

McDonald’s is looking for an Operations Consultant to support its company-owned (McOpCo) restaurants. This role is responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to restaurant teams through people development and improved restaurant operations. The consultant will also focus on maximizing the long-term sales and profits of each restaurant while ensuring outstanding Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC). The position involves demonstrating McDonald's values and leadership behaviors, championing the People Promise, ensuring adequate staffing through effective hiring and retention, and providing necessary resources for staff to perform their jobs. The role requires adherence to policies and procedures, acting on crew and manager feedback, driving employee commitment surveys and action plans, and managing the wage and review program. Encouraging learning, development, and personal growth through various training programs is also key. Collaboration with the Operations Manager and General Managers is essential for establishing performance targets, conducting timely reviews, implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), and discussing performance results. The consultant will also assist in recruiting and selecting managers, educate restaurant managers on HR policies, laws, and safety procedures, and choose appropriate consulting approaches based on restaurant performance levels. Protecting the McDonald's brand by ensuring compliance with QSC, food safety, and legal standards is paramount. The role involves demonstrating Customer-First Service, troubleshooting shift management, taking corrective actions, and recognizing successes. Proactively teaching and coaching restaurant managers on the nine restaurant systems is required, along with conducting PACE visits and developing action plans. Ensuring proper execution of Local Store Marketing (LSM), national promotions, and new product rollouts is also part of the responsibilities. Utilizing information resources to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting business plan tactics, and creating a positive work environment are crucial. The consultant will work closely with restaurant teams to achieve business results and complete various audits to ensure adherence to McDonald's standard practices and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Field Operations experience
  • Proven project management implementation skills
  • Strong people/relationship management skills
