About The Position

The Concord Group (TCG) is hiring a Consultant to advise developers, investors, public agencies, and other decision-makers on real estate markets, development opportunities, and investment decisions. The role is based in Newport Beach, California, with a hybrid work arrangement. Consultants work in small teams alongside senior professionals and gain early exposure to clients and real estate decision-makers. Assignments span markets nationally and include multifamily housing, mixed-use development, for-sale residential, retail, hospitality, and master-planned communities. The Consultant will structure and conduct market, economic, demographic, and competitive analyses around client decisions; evaluate demand, rents, pricing, absorption, product positioning, and competitive supply; and develop defensible recommendations. The role involves synthesizing data, interviews, and site observations into client-ready presentations, memoranda, exhibits, and market studies. Consultants use Excel, data platforms, mapping tools, and AI to support analysis, while checking sources and results. Site visits and interviews with market participants are part of the work. Consultants may direct portions of engagements, coordinate team contributions, and participate in client discussions and presentations. Growth comes through increasing responsibility, including leading substantial portions of engagements, presenting findings, guiding team members, and building client relationships. TCG offers ongoing feedback and development through close work with senior professionals. TCG seeks intellectually curious, analytically strong professionals with approximately two to five years of experience who want to build a career in real estate consulting. Demonstrated consulting skills and professional achievement are valued more than a particular résumé path; direct real estate experience is valuable but not required. Relevant backgrounds include management or economic consulting, finance, capital markets, development, investment, brokerage research, planning, and data analytics. The base salary is $85,000–$105,000, with a bonus opportunity, health coverage, pension, and paid time off. Applicants should submit a résumé and a short note explaining their interest in consulting and TCG, and highlight an assignment where they developed a recommendation and describe their contribution.
