The Consultant works collaboratively with a team of Advisory consultants to deliver performance improvement for healthcare systems. The role primarily performs billable client work and participates throughout engagements: determining client needs, identifying issues, forming hypotheses, planning and conducting interviews, leading analyses and interpreting data, developing initial recommendations, drafting deliverables for varied audiences, and helping implement recommended improvements. Consultants contribute to team deliverables and presentations and may oversee an Analyst’s work during an engagement. Consultants maintain client-project utilization targets, create value through client interactions and analytics, and participate in activities that grow and enrich the Advisory practice and its service lines. They also learn Premier technologies and services and complete required annual training. For Analytics-focused roles, the Consultant uses expertise in Premier and PINC AI databases and methods for connecting datasets to create enriched analytics. The role works with clients, Premier product teams, and Advisory colleagues across service lines; builds working relationships; leads production and quality assurance of client analytics deliverables; and provides data-driven insights and solutions. It also involves creating and maintaining dynamic data models, leading standardization and automation efforts, and troubleshooting analytics tools and outputs. The position is remote and requires 61–80% travel within the United States. Premier’s internal salary range for the role is $72,000–$120,000; final compensation depends on factors including budget, internal equity, education, skills and experience, and geographic location. Qualified full-time and part-time employees have access to the listed benefits.
