About The Position

Orkin is hiring a Construction Technician to inspect and install pest and home protection systems, including attic remediation, crawlspace encapsulation, insulation, and radiant barrier solutions. The role uses construction skills to help customers protect their homes and improve energy efficiency. Paid training is provided; prior pest control experience is not required. Technicians work collaboratively as part of a crew and use company-provided equipment and technology.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience using a metal brake to bend or shape metal components.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to obtain a state pesticide license within 90 days; company-paid training is provided.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work safely in attics or crawlspaces.
• Wear required PPE, including an OSHA-compliant respirator, as needed.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
• Team-oriented approach and a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule.
• Comfort working in varying weather conditions, confined spaces, and on roofs.

Nice To Haves

• Construction, roofing, HVAC, or maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install pest and home protection systems.
• Work collaboratively with a crew of technicians to complete jobs.
• Complete attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation and insulation.
• Perform light carpentry work.
• Communicate clearly with customers.
• Maintain company equipment and complete reports using a handheld device.
