About The Position
Wood is hiring a Construction Tech to work on its Pronghorn Operating project in the Powder River Basin area between Gillette and Buffalo, Wyoming. The position involves operating construction equipment, supporting equipment operators, maintaining equipment and trailers, and following safety requirements. The candidate must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship from Wood.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must have general knowledge of equipment and trailers.
- Must have a Class A CDL license or be able to obtain one within six months of employment.
- Must be able to weld and operate a cutting torch.
- Must be able to spot for an operator using a shovel and probe.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background test.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship from Wood.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of poly pipe fusing; training is available.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a backhoe and skid steer.
- Spot for operators and others as needed.
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment and trailers.
- Perform safety inspections and comply with company safety rules.
- Perform other duties as determined.
