About The Position

Topcon Solutions is seeking a technically skilled construction professional to join its Software Services team as an Autodesk Construction Software Technical Specialist. The role serves as a subject matter expert for Autodesk Forma Build and related construction project management workflows, working directly with customers to understand their project processes, configure and implement Autodesk solutions, deliver training and consulting, and support successful technology adoption.

The specialist collaborates with customers, sales teams, technical specialists, and internal stakeholders throughout the customer journey, from technical discovery and demonstrations through implementation, training, and ongoing adoption. The position calls for hands-on construction industry knowledge and technical aptitude to translate real-world project processes into practical, efficient software workflows. Occasional business travel is required.

Requirements

• Professional experience in the construction industry, particularly in roles such as Project Engineer, Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent, or Construction Technology Specialist.
• Strong understanding of construction project management processes, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, document control, field reporting, and project closeout.
• Experience with Autodesk Forma Build or comparable construction project management software.
• Experience training and supporting end users.
• Ability to lead customer discovery conversations and translate business requirements into effective technology workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and priorities.
• Occasional business travel is required.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, or similar construction technology applications.
• Experience configuring, administering, implementing, or supporting construction technology platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Autodesk Forma Build and construction project management workflows.
• Lead customer demonstrations, technical discovery, implementations, training, and ongoing support.
• Configure project and account settings, templates, permissions, and administrative standards.
• Help customers set up and deploy new projects within the Autodesk platform.
• Design and optimize workflows for project documents and file management, sheets and drawings, RFIs and submittals, issues and forms, meetings and daily logs, field reporting, assets and project closeout, and reporting and dashboards.
• Facilitate discovery sessions to understand customer processes, business requirements, and adoption challenges.
• Evaluate existing construction workflows and recommend improvements and best practices.
• Develop implementation strategies, standardized project templates, and repeatable processes.
• Provide administrator and end-user training to project teams.
• Help customers adopt new technology and workflows successfully.
• Partner with sales and customer success teams on technical discovery, demonstrations, and solution recommendations.
• Collaborate with other technical specialists when customer needs span multiple Autodesk products or construction workflows.
• Develop and maintain implementation documentation, training materials, best practices, and internal service offerings.
• Stay current on Autodesk product developments and construction technology trends.
