Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network infrastructure installation or low-voltage construction, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to supervise network or low-voltage construction projects, preferably in data center or large-scale industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, fiber optics, and networking hardware.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, NFPA, and construction safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing subcontractor performance effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage schedules and project timelines.
  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
  • Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
  • Must be comfortable working a rotational schedule, which includes day and night shifts as well as weekend work, based on project needs.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Information Technology is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree is advantageous for candidates overseeing larger teams or complex projects.
  • Equivalent military or trade school experience in low-voltage systems or network infrastructure will also be considered.
  • Experience in data center environments or other mission-critical facilities (e.g., hospitals, telecom hubs, or industrial plants) is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications such as BICSI, RCDD, or OSHA 30 are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of subcontractors and technicians installing network infrastructure, including structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and related equipment.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and work packages to ensure installations meet design standards and client requirements.
  • Monitor progress against the project schedule and provide status updates to the Construction Manager or Project Manager.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to confirm adherence to industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI), safety protocols, and company procedures.
  • Oversee material deliveries, equipment staging, and inventory tracking for network components.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and provide technical guidance to subcontractors as needed.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and IT teams to ensure proper integration of network systems within the overall data center build-out.
  • Maintain documentation of completed work, inspections, and change orders.
  • Support commissioning and testing activities to validate system performance prior to handover.

Benefits

  • The expected hourly range for this role is $43.00 to 53.00 USD.
  • Per Diem amount of $155.00 and project allowance, when applicable
