About The Position

The Construction Superintendent will manage multiple trade discipline subcontractors engaged in field construction activities. This role involves reviewing drawings, assisting with scope of work development, and developing and following project schedules. The superintendent will attend and lead client weekly progress meetings, coordinate and schedule subcontractors, and manage material submittals and shop drawings. Responsibilities also include performing site layout, reviewing subcontractor safety practices, preparing daily progress reports with photo documentation, assisting with quantity take-offs, tracking subcontractor hours, and aiding with as-builts and close-out documents. Approving subcontractor payment applications is also a key duty.

Requirements

  • 10 years current experience as lead superintendent on commercial, educational and/or government projects.
  • Solid work history.
  • Overall working knowledge of various trades.
  • Experienced in interior and exterior projects.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Project, Adobe, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be able to work various projects simultaneously.
  • Must work well with others and follow the chain of command.
  • Candidate will be drug screened.
  • Must pass required drug testing and medical evaluation.
  • Must have a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with JOC or working on military bases.
  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificate preferred.

  • Reviewing subcontractors' on-site performance for safe work practices.
  • Performing daily progress reports with photo documentation of project activities.
  • Assisting with quantity take-offs for proposal development.
  • Tracking monthly subcontractor hours.
  • Assisting with as-builts and close-out documents.
  • Approving subcontractor payment applications.
