About The Position

Marc Rutenberg Homes — a long-established Pinellas County developer of prestigious communities and builder of upscale custom homes — is seeking a qualified Construction Superintendent to uphold the reputation of our homes and deliver confidence and trust to our homeowner clients.

Requirements

Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, building codes, and safety practices
Proficiency with construction management software, particularly BuilderTrend
Proven leadership experience in a construction or project management role
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Strong written and verbal reporting skills
Established local vendor relationships

Nice To Haves

PMP or equivalent certification preferred
Drive to grow into a senior management role with our company

Responsibilities

Schedule day-to-day construction operations, with weekly reporting to management and clients
Oversee construction projects from start to finish
Determine the equipment, materials, and manpower needed for each project
Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered on schedule
Prepare regular job status and progress reports for all stakeholders
Identify and resolve issues as they arise
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
Evaluate and mitigate project risks
Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and other project team members
Participate in negotiating contract agreements with project vendors
Obtain all required construction permits
Allocate and manage resources so they're available when needed throughout each project
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality standards
Address environmental or local community issues that arise during a project
