About The Position

McGuire Builders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee construction projects across Southern California. The role is based out of the company’s Torrance office and requires strong field leadership, attention to detail, and a proven track record in hotel, restaurant, and tenant improvement construction. The Superintendent oversees projects to ensure they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to client expectations.

Requirements

Proven expertise in tenant improvement, hotel, and restaurant construction or renovations.
Proficiency in Procore is required.
Strong knowledge of California building codes, ADA requirements, construction methods, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and specifications.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites across Southern California.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 30 certification.
Familiarity with scheduling software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of on-site construction projects, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Direct and coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and suppliers to support smooth operations.
Interpret and enforce project plans, specifications, and contracts.
Maintain project schedules and proactively identify and resolve potential delays.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations through regular site inspections and safety meetings.
Conduct quality control checks to meet or exceed client expectations.
Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to project managers and senior leadership.
Maintain professional relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
