About The Position

DominionX/RoyalX is hiring a full-time Construction Superintendent to oversee onsite roofing, siding, and other exterior construction projects, including multifamily and commercial building work, in northern Virginia and beyond. The Superintendent plans, coordinates, and supervises projects from initiation through completion, ensuring work meets specifications and safety and quality standards and is completed on time and within budget. The role leads subcontractors and labor teams, coordinates with clients and other stakeholders, maintains project documentation, and provides progress updates. It also promotes safety through regular meetings and training and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.

Requirements

At least six years of proven experience as a project manager or superintendent in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction methods, processes, and regulations.
In-depth knowledge of roofing systems.
Proficiency in project management software and familiarity with construction scheduling and budgeting tools.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, including the ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.
Ability to analyze complex issues, make decisions under pressure, and implement effective solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for communicating with diverse stakeholders.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy in project planning, execution, and documentation.
Ability to lead teams while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and oversee exterior construction projects, including roofing and siding, from initiation through completion.
Supervise onsite construction activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures.
Monitor project progress through regular site inspections, identify and resolve issues, and enforce safety protocols.
Coordinate subcontractors and labor teams to maintain efficient workflow and timely project completion.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation to help ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Conduct project meetings with clients and subcontractors and build strong working relationships with them.
Implement quality control processes, ensure roofing work meets industry standards and client specifications, and take corrective action when needed.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain project records, including contracts, change orders, daily logs, and correspondence.
Prepare and present project updates and status reports to stakeholders and upper management.
Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies and procedures related to roofing work.
Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
