About The Position

Destinationone Consulting is partnering with a leading construction firm to find an experienced Superintendent for K-12 school construction projects in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering new school construction, expansions, and maintenance/upgrade projects within active educational environments. This role demands strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to ongoing school operations. The Superintendent will manage and direct all job site activities, oversee self-perform labor and subcontractors, and ensure productivity targets are met. They will also lead subcontractor meetings, monitor RFI status, and collaborate closely with the Project Manager. Support for project closeout processes and professional representation of the client are also key aspects of this role. The position involves developing and implementing strategies for on-time and within-budget project delivery and tracking the productivity of self-performed work.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor
Direct experience delivering K-12 school projects, including: New school construction, School additions and expansions, Renovations, upgrades, and maintenance projects
Experience working with school districts or public-sector education clients is strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage projects in occupied/active school environments
Diverse project experience including education, municipal, and institutional construction
Experience with CMAR delivery method preferred
Strong background in: Constructability reviews, Site logistics planning (especially in constrained/active campuses), Subcontractor coordination, Preconstruction scope review
Proven ability to build, manage, and update project schedules
Experience with Procore, e-Builder, P6, or similar construction management software
Knowledge of: Self-perform concrete work, MEPF systems and underground utilities, Low-voltage systems (telecommunications, security, AV, fire alarm, EMS, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Experience working with school districts or public-sector education clients is strongly preferred
Experience with CMAR delivery method preferred

Responsibilities

Manage and direct all job site activities from project start through completion
Oversee new school construction, additions, and renovation/maintenance projects
Coordinate work in active school environments, ensuring safety and minimal disruption to staff and students
Oversee self-perform labor crews and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution
Communicate daily with foremen and trades to ensure productivity targets are met
Ensure all project goals are achieved in accordance with specifications, timelines, and budgets
Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to review schedule performance, safety compliance, and quality control
Monitor RFI status, delays, and scope changes
Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate drawings and deliverables
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and project team on all issues, risks, and changes
Support project closeout processes, including meetings approximately 30 days prior to completion
Represent the client professionally in communications with owners, consultants, and healthcare stakeholders
Develop and implement strategies to deliver projects on or ahead of schedule and within budget
Track and manage productivity of self-performed work
Perform other duties as required
