About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Commercial TI - Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 proven years of strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction processes as it relates to TI's and proficiency with industry-standard management tools. This role is vital in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Superintendent will serve as the primary point of contact for project teams, subcontractors, and clients, maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency throughout all phases of construction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in commercial construction
  • Proven experience delivering interior tenant improvement / fit-out projects
  • Strong understanding of coordination in occupied or fast-paced renovation environments
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License
  • Clean 5-year driver's abstract (mandatory for company vehicle eligibility)
  • Proven experience supervising TI construction projects with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills along with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and safety regulations in a construction environment.
  • Skilled in budgeting, construction estimating, and resource allocation to ensure project efficiency.
  • Effective leadership abilities with experience supervising diverse teams of workers and subcontractors.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients, team members, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
  • Review blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to verify specifications and identify potential issues early.
  • Oversee quality control measures to ensure construction meets all standards and client expectations.
  • Monitor project budgets and assist with construction estimating to control costs effectively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Supervise subcontractors and labor teams, providing guidance and resolving any on-site issues promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, safety incidents, change orders, and progress reports.
