About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is hiring a first-shift, part-time security officer for a construction site in Maryville, Illinois. The position is scheduled for either 32 or 40 hours per week and pays $21 per hour. The officer will monitor the premises, help maintain site security, address rule violations and suspicious activity, report facility issues, and request emergency personnel for high-risk situations. The position reports to the Site Supervisor.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong attention to detail.
Must participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.
High school diploma or GED.
Permanent Employee Registration Card.
Driver's license.

Nice To Haves

PERC license preferred, but not required; assistance is available to those who qualify.

Responsibilities

Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they function properly and provide security.
Warn violators of premises rules and regulations.
Address people engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
Report facility issues.
Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
