Construction Services Intern - Field
About The Position
Under direct supervision, the engineering student will perform routine tasks across a wide variety of construction services activities, gaining a well-rounded learning experience. The intern will support construction managers and other staff with construction contract administration, plan and specification research, contractor requests for information, material submittal reviews, and field data collection for design or problem solving. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management from an accredited university.
- Must have completed one year of study in a qualified program.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented.
- Good communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist construction managers with administration of construction contracts.
- Research construction plans and specifications.
- Respond to construction contractor requests for information.
- Review construction contractors’ material submittals.
- Gather field data for design or problem solving.
- Provide support to staff members as needed.
